He, along with his staff, put a premium on Excellence in the game of lacrosse for youth participants. Not simply playing games, but constantly teaching through drills and a one-on-one coaching style, allowing young men to grow their skills as lacrosse players. Respecting the game and learning fundamentals are paramount to our youth. These "must haves" are what is built upon to bring forth a creative and fun style of play to life! |

A local of Syracuse, NY, Coach Tousaw attended Corcoran High School where he was a Top 100 recruit in the country according to Inside Lacrosse.

OCC Offensive Coordinator: Shaun Kazimer
Coach Kaz has been a staple in the Syracuse lacrosse community for over 20 years. His expertise and ability to connect with anyone on the field is a valuable asset to any young man's growth as a lacrosse player.
He has coached youth, and club for a number of years, and has developed dozens of young lacrosse players into Division I recruits and major contributors through private lessons. As the Offensive Coordinator at Christian Brothers Academy for 11 years, he was an integral part in them winning a New York State Championship in 2017. Many of his players went on to play at places such as Duke, Denver, Marquette and more. In 2022, he served as an assistant coach and man-up coach for Colgate University gaining valuable Division I coaching experience. In 2023, he helped the OCC Men's Lacrosse team reach the NJCAA Final Four coaching the two top scoring offensive players in the nation. |
OCC Assistant Coach: JD Jones
Coach Jones has been around the block. A member of the Onondaga Nation, Coach Jones has been around skilled lacrosse his entire life.
Graduating from Jamesville-Dewitt High School, he went on the play at then Division I, Mercyhurst College. From there he transferred to Towson University where he was a starter, graduating in 2000. He has many years of playing in the NLL and on the world stage in the FIL World Games for the Haudenosaunee Nationals at the U19 and Men's level. He, like Coach Kaz, has spent well over a decade coaching club, youth and high school lacrosse in the Syracuse area, providing a depth of knowledge of both the field and box game. |
OCC Assistant Coach: Ryan Smith
Coach Smith, another Syracuse native, is also a member of the OCC Men's Lacrosse staff. He provides a youth and ability to connect with players that you don't see on many collegiate staffs.
Coach Smith graduated from West Genesee High School and went on to the University at Albany for his first year of collegiate lacrosse. From there he transferred to Onondaga Community College, and finished up his playing career at The University of Utah. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the Forest Lacrosse Staff, which he has learned from his father, local high school coach Shaun Smith, and his stops at multiple top flight lacrosse institutions. |
